Period Problems (Menstrual Disorders)
Heavy periods cause major disruption to a woman's working and social
life by causing fatigue, tiredness, pain and anaemia. There can be accidents and embarrassment.
Management of heavy periods (can regular or irregular) has come a very long way and it is no longer a case of hysterectomy
for everyone. There are a variety of safe and effective treatments
including Mirena®, Novasure® endometrial ablation and Laparoscopic Hysterectomy. Around 3 out of 10 women end up needing some form of treatment for their heavy periods.
Anil will discuss the investigation and treatment options with you so
that care can be tailored to your individual needs and wishes.
Where a hysterectomy is considered, all the pros and cons are
discussed including the options of preserving the Cervix and the Ovaries and talking about the Fallopian tubes. The options as above are discussed in detail without medical jargon as they can be confusing, including different recovery times, success rates, side-effects and possible complications.

“If you're looking for a gynecologist who'll listen and give you options and know about Endometriosis, who'll lay out a plan etc this is the Gynae for you.
Great at communicating, if surgery is the option you want to take then this is your Dr, will call on other specialists if needed to get a thorough tougher surgeries. I was grateful to have 3 surgeons for my 2nd Op as it was a lot more complicated this time round.
Easy to get answers if you're unsure of anything Anne is only an email or phone call away.
Highly reccomended helped me get diagnosed with Endometriosis, 2 surgeries later and I feel 100% no pain which is amazing and i know if it does come back Anil an Anne are only phone call / email away but hopefully I'm good for awhile 😊 😀
