Tamoxifen and the uterine lining (Endometrium)

Tamoxifen (An effective medication used for women with some types of breast cancer) can cause side-effects which are discussed below;

If you are on Tamoxifen and post-menopausal and you have vaginal (post-menopausal) bleeding, or premenopausal and heavier or irregular bleeding you should have an ultrasound scan and see a gynaecologist. Similarly if you have abdominal discomfort or fullness, or tummy pain. If you are premenopausal and need contraception, you should consider non-hormonal contraception as Tamoxifen can make ovulation more likely. More info below;
